Pre-launch checklist for an AI creator account
A short page on purpose. Traffic is the expensive part of this business and it does not come back, so the checks below are all things that are cheap before launch and costly afterwards.
What you get from this page
- The four categories of pre-launch check, and what each one prevents
- The minimum content depth before external traffic is worth sending
- Access and identity setup that is painful to retrofit
- The single most common launch mistake in this niche
The most common launch mistake in this niche is sending traffic to a thin profile. It is worth stating plainly because it is so hard to undo: a visitor who arrives, sees six posts and leaves does not come back when the feed is full. You have spent the acquisition and got nothing, and on a channel like Reddit you cannot simply buy that visitor again.
1. Content depth
Before any external traffic
At least two weeks of scheduled content queued, not just produced
Produced-but-unscheduled reliably becomes not-posted in week three.
A populated public feed that stands on its own
Enough that a first-time visitor can form a judgement without needing to subscribe.
A paywalled library with real depth behind it
The first paying subscriber should not exhaust it in an evening.
Pay-per-view sets prepared and priced
Deciding this after the first subscriber arrives means deciding it badly.
Every asset passed the identity review gate
See character consistency methods. One bad set in the opening library does disproportionate damage.
2. Compliance
Non-negotiable before launch
AI designation declared and the badge visible on the public profile
Verify from a logged-out view.
Disclosure in the bio, above any truncation point
Disclosure carried on media that will travel off-platform
No real person's likeness anywhere in the pipeline or the library
Including in training data and reference images. See the legal lines.
Every asset unambiguously adult in presentation
Ambiguity is a rejection, not a judgement call.
Persona age stated and consistent with the content
3. Access and identity
Painful to retrofit, trivial to set up now
Dedicated email on a provider or domain you control long-term
This is the recovery path for the whole asset.
Two-factor authentication on the account and on the recovery mailbox
Credentials in a password manager, not in a notes app or a chat thread
Individually revocable access for anyone else who will help
Shared logins cannot be revoked selectively, which becomes a problem exactly when you most need it to not be.
Payout method verified and the holding period understood
See Fanvue payouts and fees. Assume month-one revenue is month-two cash.
Complete asset library backed up off-platform
If the account disappears the library is what lets you start again. Without it you start from nothing.
4. Measurement
So the launch teaches you something
A landing page or link hub you control between traffic and platform
Lets you measure, survives promotion rules, and means a channel ban does not sever the funnel.
Distinct tracking per acquisition channel
Aggregate traffic numbers cannot tell you which channel to double down on.
A written baseline of what you expect to happen
Recorded before launch. Without it you will rationalise whatever occurs as roughly what you predicted.
The P&L template started, with month zero already logged
Template in the cost guide. Log your own hours from day one.
A decision date and a decision rule
Written down now: what result at what date means continue, change, or stop. This is the check that most reliably saves people money.
How much content is enough to launch?
Enough that a first visitor forms a positive judgement from the free feed alone, and enough that a first subscriber does not exhaust the paid library immediately. In practice that is more than most people launch with, and it is the cheapest thing on this list to fix before rather than after.
Can I launch without a landing page?
You can, and you lose measurement, you fall foul of more promotion rules, and you tie the funnel directly to one platform account. It is an afternoon of work against all three of those.
What should the abandon condition look like?
Specific and dated. A number of subscribers by a date, or a revenue figure, or an hourly rate for your own time. The point is that it is checkable without interpretation, because interpretation is how sunk cost wins.
Where these numbers come from
No figures on this page, deliberately. Every item is a procedural check drawn from the platform requirements covered in the linked guides, each of which carries its own provenance. Where a claim here would need a number to be useful, we have left it out rather than inventing one.
Who wrote this
AIOF Editorial DeskResearch & editorial
AIOF is an editorial desk that works from primary sources: platform terms, vendor pricing pages and published company data, read and dated rather than repeated from other write-ups. Where a figure comes from someone else we cite it and grade it. Where we have not measured something ourselves we say so, which today is most of the places you might expect a first-hand number.
- Works from primary platform documents, with the date each page was last checked published on the page itself
- Grades every figure as sourced, third-party estimate, modelled or measured, and labels which
- Publishes no first-party measured benchmarks yet, and says so on the methodology page rather than implying otherwise
- Corrections are made in place with a dated changelog entry, listed on the updates page
Rules and pricing here change often. This page was last touched on . Found something out of date? Tell us and we will fix it in place with a dated note.
